I'm Timothy, a software engineer living in Northwest Arkansas with a strong appreciation of STEM, who loves what he does!

Through this blog, I aim to recount real issues I encounter at work as a software engineer, as a way to learn, improve, and make new, or complex issues more clear to me (and hopefully the readers). When problem-solving, my philosophy is rooted in first principles; I believe that coming up with and choosing the best solution(s) to obstacles in both our personal and professional lives is contingent on fully understanding the problem at its most granular level.

Outside of work, I'm a husband and father to two lovely young daughters. They're a constant reminder of the importance of turning off at 5pm, and really enjoying life for all it has to offer. I have hobbies too! I love electronics tinkering, 3D printing, video games with my wife, cooking, and like so many others in this privileged life, travel!
